The expressions on our faces are influenced by what is happening around our eyes. Our eyebrows convey a multude of messages and emotions, frowning, surprise, happiness and sadness. Fashions and trends change, but generally the shape of the brows looks good when curled outward.
Conversely, a low brow position indicates sadness or fatigue. Thick middle eyebrows indicate anger or despair. Similar to the eyelids, the premature aging of the eyebrows is partly hereditary but can be easily corrected.
Brow lifts are undertaken in a number of ways. Dr. Shahram will review your condition and propose the correct course of action to suit you.
During your procedure, Dr. Shahram forehead muscle by making an incision at the hairline. The surgery elevates the forehead region and shifts the brows for a more youthful appearance. Every scar is carefully hidden in amongst your hair. You can choose keyhole surgery. In this case, Dr. Shahram goes straight to the area through a small incision at the hairline.
Brow lifts are typically undertaken under general anesthesia. You may have a bandage on your forehead to prevent tearing. A very thin tube (drainage tube) can be inserted into the wound to drain any fluids. These will be taken off within 2 to 3 days.
You may have bruising and swelling around your forehead and upper eyelid. The area can be very sensitive, but you will get pain medication. You may be asked to stay upright without bending or straining for the first few days.
