Our eyes are the first centre for communication and recognition. They play an important role, along with our eyebrows, in showing most of our emotions. They tell people how we feel, whether we are sad, happy or tired. Genetically, or with age, some people have tired-looking eyes, which sometimes give others a general impression of sadness. Periorbital rejuvenation, or surgeries around the eyes, can reverse imperfections and the effects of age to give you a more youthful and awake look. These may include upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery, fat grafting around the eyes, or a suitable combination. Dr. Shahram’s complex evaluation process will help guide your decisions and ensure you receive the right treatment or combination of treatments.
Procedure
Periorbital rejuvenation refers to a combination of procedures which will result in the area around the eye looking fresher and younger. Traditionally, plastic surgeons have just performed upper or lower eyelid surgeries, but by understanding the process of aging better and by developing newer techniques, professionals are able to offer a more balanced, natural rejuvenation of this very important area. Choosing the right combination of procedures is an art which, along with the right instruments and required delicate surgical skills, takes lots of experience to achieve. The procedures that can be used alone or in combination include the temple lift, brow fat grafting, fat grafting around the eyes, upper eyelid, lower eyelid and also upper and lower eyelid surgeries.
