neck lift
A neck lift makes the skin of the chin and neck area appear smoother and firmer. Newer, less invasive procedures offer shorter procedure times, faster recovery, and can significantly improve cleavage without the extensive surgical dissection of traditional facelifts. A neck lift can be done in a number of ways. Typically, incisions are made in front of and behind the ear. The edges that relax the neck muscles are identified and pulled up and pinned. The resulting excess skin is removed from behind the ear, concealing the incision. Another method is to make an incision under the chin and tighten the underlying muscles without removing the skin and without making an incision in front of the ear.
Facial Lift (Wrinkle Removal)
In the early days of cosmetic surgery, the facelift consisted only of skin tightening. Most modern face lift techniques today involve tightening the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the cheeks and neck. There are many tricks. Regardless of the technique, however, the principle is the same: by tightening the deep structures, the tension on the skin is reduced, resulting in longer-lasting results. In most face lift surgeries, a drainage tube is inserted during the procedure. It is removed one to two days after surgery. All sutures are usually removed within five to ten days after surgery.
Eyelid Surgery (Upper Blepharoplasty)
This procedure is designed to remove excess skin and fat from the upper eyelid. It is usually performed under local anesthesia in combination with conscious sedation (“twilight sleep”) and is one of the fastest recovering procedures of any facial plastic surgery. The entire procedure takes about 45 minutes to an hour and is minimal pain in most cases. Some minor swelling and bruising may persist for a few days, and most patients recover fully within a week. These procedures can be combined with a brow lift for best results.
Eyelid Surgery (Lower Blepharoplasty)
This procedure treats swelling caused by excess fat and wrinkles in the excess skin of the lower eyelid. In patients with excess fat and little or no excess skin, surgery can be performed by making an incision on the inside of the eyelid (transconjunctival), avoiding scarring on the skin. In patients with excess skin and fat, an incision is made just below the eyelashes, which can be well hidden. I will use an endoscope (a pencil-like camera device) inserted through another incision where the skin on the forehead will be lifted and the muscles and underlying tissue removed or altered to create a smoother Appearance.
brow lift
Also known as a brow lift, this procedure corrects low or sagging eyebrows, smoothes the line between the forehead and eyebrows, and helps restore a more youthful appearance. A forehead lift can be performed in a number of ways. The traditional “open” method involves making a continuous incision, starting at ear level and working up the hairline. The incision is usually placed behind the hairline to hide the scar. I offer innovations in brow lift procedures, including the use of smaller incisions and endoscopic techniques to lift brows and reduce frown lines.
